President Bush and the Liberal Media Bias

I am once again aghast at the propaganda and the spin that the liberals and the media continue to spew regarding President George Bush and Iraq versus President Obama and Libya and now Syria. Watching Kirsten Powers  yesterday and Bob Beckel on multiple occasions has prompted me to action.  Since the liberals can’t seem to find the facts for themselves I have decided to present them all in one place making it easier for them to find.  It is a fact that prior to the Iraq invasion President Bush had the “blessings” of Congress and of the United Nations.  It is a fact that there was “credible” evidence that Saddam Hussein had Weapons of Mass destruction.  It is a fact that at the time Russian intelligence and other sources were warning of an “imminent threat” to the United States of America.  It is a fact that President Bush had a “large” coalition of countries that supported the war effort, including those from the Middle East.

On October 8,2002 the United Nations passed resolution 1441 once again holding Iraq and Saddam Hussein in violates of its weapons disposal agreement, resolution 687 adopted in 1991.  The liberals will argue that this did not give the United States “permission” to go to war with Iraq however resolution 1551 passed on Oct 16,2003 did  Now I know Kirsten and other liberal pundits call President Bush and his administration liars, however, research will show that Even President Clinton believed that Saddam had weapons of mass destruction.  As for Congressional approval that was obtained  on Oct 2, 2002  H.J. Res, 114 (107th) The facts Bob and Kirsten do not lie.

President Vladimir Putin and his intelligence operatives warned the Bush White House of a plot by Saddam Hussein to attack the homeland.,

As for the lie of going it alone.  That is easily dismissed in this article there are 30 countries listed, ,

“The State Department’s list of 30 countries that are members of a “Coalition for the Immediate Disarmament of Iraq”:

Afghanistan, Albania, Australia, Azerbaijan, Bulgaria, Colombia, Czech Republic, Denmark, El Salvador, Eritrea, Estonia, Ethiopia, Georgia, Hungary, Italy, Japan (post conflict), Korea, Latvia, Lithuania, Macedonia, Netherlands, Nicaragua, Philippines, Poland, Romania, Slovakia, Spain, Turkey, United Kingdom, Uzbekistan.”

And most recently

Calling out the New York Times for the lie listed these countries

“According to the Bush administration and press reports, they are: Afghanistan, Albania, Azerbaijan, Bulgaria, Colombia, Costa Rica, the Czech Republic, Denmark, El Salvador, Eritrea, Estonia, Ethiopia, Georgia, Honduras, Hungary, Iceland, Italy, Japan, Kuwait, Latvia, Lithuania, Macedonia, Marshall Islands, Micronesia, the Netherlands, Nicaragua, Palau, the Philippines, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Rwanda, Singapore, Slovakia, Solomon Islands, South Korea, Spain, Turkey, Uganda, and Uzbekistan. Noticeably absent are major powers–France, for example–that were members of the coalition that overturned Iraq’s occupation of Kuwait in 1991. …

Other countries have not been named publicly but are likely members of the coalition. They include Israel, as well as several Arab states that are providing bases or other assistance to the war: Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Qatar, Jordan, Oman, the United Arab Emirates (UAE), and Egypt. …”

The FACTS tell a completely different story than what Kirsten and Bob and all liberals would have you believe.  This is important to remember as we move into another “war” in Iraq and in Syria and that FACT that President Obama did NOT get approval from the United Nations nor from Congress, nor does he have as large of a coalition.  President Bush told the truth as it was known, presented his case to the UN and to the Congress and had full support of both bodies when he began the campaign in IRAQ.
